Born and raised on the Orkney Islands, Steven MacIver attended Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, graduating with a first class Honours degree in 2002 before being offered a place at the Slade School of Fine Art, London to complete his MFA. Before leaving the Slade, Steven was nominated for, and won, the Sainsbury Scholarship in Drawing and Painting at the British School at Rome where he lived and worked between 2004 and 2006. He has established himself as one of the most exciting young artists in the country, receiving a total of 10 awards for his work and exhibiting extensively across the UK and in Italy. Steven lives and works in Oxfordshire.
